Louisville’s 7 Cheapest Places To Drink On Wednesday Night

You’ve already made it all the way to Humpday. Treat yo’self.

$4 Margaritas atAEl Mundo

$4 house margaritas all day (and night)! El Mundo is a tried-and-true staple of Frankfort Avenue that has beenAserving made-from-scratch Mexican food for the last two decades. The menu is creative, delicious and made from some of the freshest ingredients – there’s a reason Louisville keeps coming back (the award-winning margaritas don’t hurt, either).

This place also happens to serve one of the best chile rellenos in town. But, the margaritas! Come for the $4 margaritas, stay for the $4 margaritas.

$1 Wells And Drafts At Baxter’s

Yes, you heard us right. $1 drinks. Any draft or well liquor with a mixer can be yours for just four quarters. There’s karaoke as well, if you were worried you’d make it out of Baxter’s without embarrassing yourself. (Drawing doodles on your drink optional).

If you make it there before 10:00 PM you can avoid the $3 cover, but if you get there closer to 11:00 or midnight, that’s when the party really gets started.

$4 Pint Night At Four Pegs

Every Wednesday, Four Pegs will feature four beers for four dollars. Frequent offenders on the list are the beers of Country Boy Brewing, Apocalypse Brew Works, Founders, Dark Horse Brewing Company, 3 Floyds Brewing Company and New Albanian Brewery. It’s a surprise every week, not to mention a good excuse to sample craft beers.

Four Pegs is a Germantown/Schnitzelburg favorite that not only offers a beer selection that will appease your inner beer-nerd, but also serves a unique menu of delightfully greasy bar food – but in a creative and original, classier way. The Chicken & Waffle sandwich, for instance, is a chicken sandwich with a waffle instead of a bun.

$4 LITs at Cahoots

Cahoots has been a staple of Bardstown Road for many decades. It’s gained quite a reputation over the years, its strong pours and cheap booze not being the least of the reasons. On Wednesday night, you can get the granddaddy of all liver-punishing beverages – the Long Island Iced Tea – for only $4.

Whiskey Wednesdays AtALoop 22

From the creators of Hammerheads and Game comes a rotisserie restaurant in the Highlands. Loop 22 offers interesting and creative dishes, but since we’re talking about the booze, let’s talk about the booze. Wednesday nights bring you A$1 wells, $1.50 pbr, $2 coors banquet, $2 high life, $3 west 6th ipa, and $4 sangria. In addition to all of that, there are $4-$8 appetizers (and of course the full menu).

$10 All You Can Drink Beer And All You Can Eat Pizza Buffet AtAWick’s

It may sound too good to be true, but believe it. From 9:00 PM to midnight, the Highlands, Middletown and Goose Creek locations of Wick’s bring you hours of mindless self-indulgence in beer and pizza.

That’s right, folks – for a flat rate of $10, you can eat as much pizza and drink as many domestic drafts as you can stomach. If that’s not a reason to drink on a Wednesday, we don’t know what is.

$3 Fireball, $2 PBR and $2 Rolling Rock AtAMag Bar

Mag Bar is Old Louisville’s go-to watering hole for good reason. The drink specials are endless and there is always some kind of free (or at least inexpensive) entertainment provided. Everything from live music to bingo to Wii Bowling can be found here depending on which day of the week you stop in, but on Wednesdays you can expect a DJ.

…but the important part is the drink specials. Stop in for a $3 shot of Fireball, a $2 PBR or a $2 Rolling Rock.
