13 Margaritas You Need To Try In Cincinnati

1. Margarita’s Mexican Food

Here, they make the margaritas from scratch with your own tequila. Bring it with you to the restaurant, and the bartender will make the mix with fresh limes. That’s good stuff right there.


2. Nada

Nada’s got options. All their margaritas are served on the rocks, and most are $10. Their fresh fruit margaritas have fresh fruit puree, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. Blood orange is a must-have, but the passion fruit, strawberry, and mango shouldn’t be excluded either. They call for multiple rounds.


3. Taqueria Mercado

Here the margaritas pack a punch. They start with El Jimador or Jose Cuervo Silver, Cointreau, agave nectar, and real lime juice. The fruity flavors include lime, peach, mango raspberry, pomegranate, and strawberry. The doctors always say to have five servings of fruit in a day, and we gotta say we’re starting to agree with them.


4. El Toro

Here you’ll choose from three categories: Regular Margaritas, Margaritas Texanas, and Cadillac Margaritas. The first are made with Jose Cuervo, the second with Jose Cuervo and Gran Marnier, and the third’s got Amaretto, Grand Marnier, and Cuervo Gold. Choose between lime, strawberry, raspberry, and peach. And you can either go with a regular, jumbo, or a full pitcher. Depends on what kind of day you’re having.


5. Bakersfield

Bakersfield Margaritas are there for you when your day just sucks. It’s got el Jimador Blanco, triple sec, agave nectar, and fresh lemon or lime. Or the Premium, which has El Arco Blanco, Cointreau, agave nectar, fresh lime, and Grand Marnier float. Eat your feelings with the Short Rib tacos while you’re drowning your sorrows away. Life’s all about balance.

Signature margaritas are the way to go. This one’s known as the “Blackarita.” Made with Black Current Juice, it’s our drink of choice. Get a plate of their fresh tacos and some guac. Northside just continues to impress us.


7. Django Western Taco

Django is all about the spice. Their House Margarita is the Jalapéno margarita that’s got spiced salt around the glass. They’ve also got a classic, a Honey drink, and a featured margarita that changes weekly. Try them all– you’ll be hooked.



8. Neon’s

Jenga + Bocce ball + Margaritas. That’s a bar and night to remember. Even if you can’t in the morning. Monday night is trivia night, so test out your Jeopardy knowledge you probably have stocked up. Some friendly competition and good drinks makes for a good time in our book.


9. Northside Tavern

Saturdays means Happy Hour for Margaritas and Bloody Mary’s. From 5-8, knock back a couple of drinks for only 4.50 a piece. You could have had a great week. Or one from hell. Either way, these classic, handcrafted margaritas are there to keep you company.


10. Mazunte Taqueria

This place is serving up Margaritas on the rocks. They make these drinks strong, which is the only way we know. Add some Beer Battered Fish Tacos to your table, and you’re set for the night.


11. Keystone Bar And Grill

The Mango ‘Rita is calling your name. Made at the Clifton location, it’s got Don Julio Blanco, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, and mango nectar. In Covington? Get the Mango Margarita with tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and mango nectar. Basically two Keystones in one night isn’t out of the question…


12. Rhinehaus

Haus shots for all in OTR. The Pink Rhino’s got tequila, agave nectar, and pink lemonade. Ah, refreshing. Or the Mexican Rhino that’s got tequila, lime juice, and cholula. Glasses are overrated- here they get straight to the point.


13. Main Bite

Get a bunch of plates of food and some b-e-a-utiful drinks at the bar. The Golden Margarita’s got 1800 Silver, fresh lime juice, Triple Sec, and a splash of Grand Marnier. Yeah, that’s all we really need in life. Stay gold, Main Bite.
